Alameda County Community Asset Network (AC CAN)

The Alameda County Community Asset Network (AC CAN) is a working group of nearly 30 service providers, credit unions and banks, community-based organizations, public agencies, and base-building organizations that work in partnership to increase the income and assets of Alameda County residents. Since 2007, we have worked to collaboratively give our members the tools, capacity and connections needed to better support Alameda County residents in preserving and building income and assets. We operate with the belief that people should be met where they are at in their income and asset development efforts and that effective, relationship-based service and products should be appropriate to their needs. AC CAN is founded and staffed Urban Strategies Council (www.urbanstrategies.org), a social impact organization focusing on research, policy, collaborative management and program innovation in Oakland, California.
