When you hear the term “policy advocacy,” what comes to mind? Many in our field default to thinking only about meetings or hearings with legislators. Policy advocacy, however, can also mean working with government agencies to change programmatic policies, which often has a big impact on the way services are delivered. During this webinar, Network members learned about: the differences between administrative and legislative advocacy; the role of client stories and service providers in changing administrative policy; which administrative changes are within an agency’s control and administrative policy victories in Nevada and Ohio.
