Daniel Valdez is from Mexico and has lived in the USA for over 25 years. He graduated from UNC-Charlotte with a BA in History and Latin American Studies. He has worked extensively on various human rights issues, economic justice and the arts in Charlotte. His past involvement includes working at the Latin American Coalition on advocacy and immigrant's rights, and at Carolinas CARE Partnership coordinating a public health intervention program. He currently serves as Advocacy Program Manager at Crisis Assistance Ministry, an organization that provides emergency rent and utility assistance to families in need.
